What is A1 DevOps?
DevOps is an abbreviation for “Development Operations”, a process how an organization manages software development. This is a fairly specialized field that mostly only technology companies, specifically software companies, know about.
Organizations with in-house software development resources may also have an internal DevOps Team. However, the tendency to develop a highly robust DevOps platform to manage software development is rare because it requires a different mindset and technical skillset. A1 Enterprise embarked on DevOps back in 2002 with a Citrix server farm (17 servers) in a garage in San Jose, allowing developers to work remotely from home. At that time, this type of work environment was less common and access to high-speed internet opened new opportunities for remote work.
From 2002, A1 Devops evolved as we developed our own product A1 Tracker, originally a project management software, which also evolved to become our SaaS ERM product.
